Legacy Video Project

The Legacy Video Project will collect the oral histories of Kirkland-Redmond Branch AAUW Members. This year we will plant the seed with 5 interviews of Kirkland-Redmond Branch leaders.  The interviews will record the leader’s personal stories on video.  The interviews will try to capture what happened after the Women’s Liberation Movement in the 60-70’s; what choices were made?  What did we learn?

The Project is led by Karrin Klotz and Beth Wood and other volunteers are welcome to participate.  The documentary video will be used for empowering women programs In the future, this seed should grow into a beautiful tree with other State branches.   Additional interviewees will be added as we acquire funding from AAUW and through other historical grants.

Wouldn’t you like to have your story available for your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren?  We won’t leave it to the men to tell our stories, will we?

We’ve raised seed money to kickstart the project.  If you’d like to make a donation to help us obtain high quality editing of the film, please contact Peg Eagle, VP Finance Kirkland-Redmond AAUW, at dpeagle@earthlink.net.
